Life is beautiful, especially through a photographer's lens. But I never thought about to be a photographer. In my childhood, my dream was to be a biologist, to explore the mystery of the nature. When I grew up, I became a tough hiker on the molecular biology trail.

The first SLR camera I used was to shoot some of my transgenic plants. By chance, I focused on the landscape. To my surprised, the world through the lens was somewhat different from it by eyes directly. You can choose the specific field, you can make the subject stand out by softening the background, you can even play with the light. Anyway, I was charmed by the lens and started to record the life with lens.

I love the nature and travel is my favorite. When I lived in China, my footprints covered almost all of the country. In the trip, I recorded what I saw through the lens, and also wrote down travel notes to tell those interesting stories. Later, A lot of my travel notes were published on Chinese media accompanied with my photographs.

A few years ago, to realize the ambition of being a molecular biologist, I came to USA. After work, I spent all of the holidays and vacations on the trip. From Alaska glaciers to Mexico Maya ruins, from east coast to southwestern canyon, I explored another mysterious land. I used to travel alone, appreciated the magic of nature and captured it with lens, with heart. In addition to photography, I started to bear to the world of video, playing the same theme with a 3CCD lens digital camcorder. Later, I was addicted to video editing on computer, performing as a director to give a final movie containing full story, vivid color and harmonious background music.

My photos and videos got a lot of compliments and I was suggested to be a freehand photographer or offer photo/video service many times. A couple of weeks ago, luckily, I got this cool domain name (www.mygalleryonline.com), and started to design and build my own gallery online. That was a time consuming work, started from picking up every single picture from tons of my stock, started from designing every single icon, but I enjoyed, and I tried to do my best. Today, I am so glad to get this website published, to present my works in the web space.
